Created in partnership with health technology company Hyperice, the Nike Hyperboot focuses on two key techniques that athletes have long relied on; heat and compression. As soon as you strap in and power on, the Hyperboot molds to your foot for a snug, secure, and ultra-comfortable fit. Heat distribution is provided by dual-air Normatec bladders bonded to warming elements, driving heat deep into the muscle tissue for fast recovery.
Tobie Hatfield, Senior Director, Nike Athlete Innovation, states: “Athlete insight is at the center of everything we do, and while we’ve long known that recovery is an important part of any athlete’s journey, we’re hearing from athletes that the concept of ‘pre-covery’ is equally as important. The Hyperboot helps get the body ready for activity, whether you’re playing for a title or you’re on your feet a lot at work.”
Hyperice sent a pair to the Sneaker News office for testing, and let me tell you; these things work. After completing a session, I noticed that my feet felt lighter and more relaxed for a decent while. I’m an average athlete at best, but names like Sha’Carri Richardson and the endurance-obsessed LeBron James gave glowing feedback as well.
